The underlying aim of Slang is to never stop before the set-up boundaries between styles. This band creates its music by drawing indifferently on all kinds of music and is inspired by jazz as well as rock and by musics from all over the world so that each piece presents a special cocktail. Their inspiration leads them to draw a world as the one we are living in : mixed.

« Born at the dawn of the new millennium, Slang roams the subtleties of last century to create a language that is absolutely modern, adventurous and exciting. Going through the prism of multicultural music called 'ethnic' the group’s compositions chose most of all not to choose, carefully avoiding being locked into a straitjacket, too rigid. Because that is what the music of Slang could not stand, for it is from this naive decision that innovation is born.

In the centrifuge of the senses, the heart of the atom, jazz, is decanted to accelerate the merger, breathe and pulse vital energy , the soul of this music without anchor ... Led by François Garny, Manuel Hermia and Michel Seba, all three wild, Slang drives the wrong way, swallows the asphalt curb without braking, voluntarily taking steep trails and dangerous roads. »
